Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant Purchase Officer to manage and oversee the purchasing process while ensuring accurate financial records. This role involves collaborating with various departments to optimize procurement strategies and maintain budgetary compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the purchasing process from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier contracts.
• Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile purchase orders with invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities and budget adherence to management.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services while managing inventory levels.
• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or accounting roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
