Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Agricultural Technician to support our farming operations and research initiatives. The ideal candidate will assist in the cultivation, harvesting, and analysis of crops, ensuring optimal agricultural practices are followed to enhance productivity and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and execution of agricultural projects and experiments.
• Monitor crop growth and health, performing regular inspections and assessments.
• Collect and analyze soil, water, and plant samples to determine nutrient levels and health.
• Operate and maintain agricultural equipment and machinery.
• Implement pest management strategies and monitor for signs of disease.
• Record and report data on crop yields, soil conditions, and environmental factors.
• Collaborate with agronomists and other specialists to develop best practices.
• Participate in training and educational programs to stay updated on agricultural advancements.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in agricultural settings or related roles.
• Strong understanding of crop management, soil science, and pest control.
• Proficient in using agricultural tools and machinery.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
