Wood Polisher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Wood Polisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for woodworking, responsible for preparing and finishing wooden surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare wood surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and applying appropriate finishes.
• Select and mix stains, varnishes, and other finishing products according to specifications.
• Operate polishing machines and hand tools to achieve desired surface quality.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet company standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with carpenters and other team members to meet project deadlines.
• Keep accurate records of materials used and time spent on each project.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training in woodworking or finishing is a plus.
• Proven experience as a wood polisher or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of wood types, finishing techniques, and safety practices.
• Ability to operate polishing machines and hand tools effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong aesthetic sense.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
