Job Description
A CCR (Central Control Room) Operator in a cement plant monitors and controls production processes like kilns, mills, and crushers from a central room, ensuring optimal performance, quality, and safety by adjusting parameters, coordinating with field teams, recording data, troubleshooting issues, and managing shift handovers, requiring technical skills in DCS/automation and adherence to strict safety/quality protocols.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Monitoring & Control:Â Operate and optimize plant sections (kilns, mills, crushers, packing) using DCS/SCADA systems.
- Parameter Management:Â Continuously monitor and adjust process parameters (temperature, pressure, flow, quality) for efficiency and quality.
- Coordination:Â Liaise with field operators, supervisors, and technical teams for smooth operations and issue resolution.
- Data & Reporting:Â Record operational data, maintain logbooks, and generate shift reports accurately.
- Troubleshooting:Â Identify abnormalities, report malfunctions, and coordinate corrective actions with the technical team.
- Safety & Housekeeping:Â Ensure compliance with safety procedures (lock-outs), maintain cleanliness, and manage hazardous material handling.
- Shift Management:Â Perform shift turnovers, manage manpower, and plan operations (e.g., truck loading).Â
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Education:Â Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience:Â Proven experience in cement plant operations, kiln/mill control, or similar industrial setting.
- Technical:Â Proficiency in Distributed Control Systems (DCS), automation, and process calculations.
- Soft Skills:Â Strong focus on safety, data accuracy, teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.Â
Work Environment:
- Shifts:Â Willingness to work in rotating shifts for 24/7 operations.
- Location:Â Central Control Room, requiring focus and attention to detail.Â
