QC & Laboratory Operations Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control & Testing

• Perform routine and special testing of limestone, additives, clinker, and cement as per BIS standards.

• Monitor physical and chemical parameters including fineness, setting time, compressive strength, LOI, LSF, SM, AM, and free lime.

• Laboratory Operations

• Manage day-to-day laboratory activities and ensure smooth functioning of lab equipment.

• Calibrate and maintain lab instruments such as XRF, Blaine, Vicat, Auto Compression Testing Machine (CTM), and sieve shakers.

• Process Control & Improvement

• Provide feedback to production teams for raw mix, kiln, and cement mill optimization.

• Monitor clinker quality and suggest corrective actions to improve burnability and cement performance.

• Participate in trials for new raw materials, fuels, and additives.

• Compliance & Safety

• Ensure laboratory compliance with safety norms, SOPs, and environmental guidelines.

• Support internal and external audits (ISO, BIS, NABL if applicable).

Educational Qualifications

• B.Sc. (Chemistry) / M.Sc. (Chemistry) / B.Tech (Chemical / Cement Technology).

• Diploma in Cement Technology is an added advantage.
