Test Engineer

Job Description

Position: Test Engineer – BESS (Battery Energy Storage System)

• Plan and execute testing and commissioning activities for BESS systems including batteries, PCS (Power Conversion System), transformers, EMS, BMS, and protection systems.
• Perform pre-commissioning checks, FAT/SAT, functional testing, and performance validation of BESS components.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, OEM guidelines, and applicable standards (IEC, IEEE, UL).
• Conduct charge/discharge tests, capacity tests, efficiency tests, and safety tests.
• Coordinate with OEMs, EPC contractors, and site teams during testing activities.
• Strong knowledge of BESS architecture, Li-ion battery systems, PCS, EMS, and BMS.
• Hands-on experience with testing instruments, protection relays, and SCADA systems.
• Familiarity with grid integration of renewable + storage projects.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
