2. Age Restriction

RicRoot is intended for use only by individuals aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has created an account or provided us data, please contact our Grievance Officer using the details in Section 15 so we can take appropriate action, including deletion of the account.

3. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you register and use RicRoot:

3.1 Identity and Contact Information

3.2 Professional and Employment Information

3.3 Asset and Resource Declarations

To help match you with jobs that have specific requirements, we ask whether you possess the following (as a yes/no declaration only, unless stated otherwise):

3.4 Government Identity Verification — Aadhaar Number

As part of our identity verification process, we collect your Aadhaar number, entered manually by you. Please see Section 4 below for important details on how this specific information is handled.

3.5 Disability Information (Optional)

We provide an optional field for you to declare whether you have a disability and, if so, a broad category (Physical, Visual, Hearing, Speech, or Other). This information is entirely optional, is used only to help identify appropriate accommodations and job matches, and is never used to exclude you from opportunities on the Platform.

4. Aadhaar Number — Special Notice

Important: Your Aadhaar number is collected solely for internal identity verification purposes. It is manually entered by you, stored in full within our secure systems, and is not shared with employers, recruiters, or any third party. Access is restricted to authorized RCSL personnel involved in verification.

We do not use your Aadhaar number for e-KYC authentication through UIDAI at this time. We are continuously reviewing our verification processes to align with evolving regulatory requirements, and this section of our Policy will be updated to reflect any changes, including potential adoption of licensed e-KYC or masked-Aadhaar verification methods. You may choose not to provide your Aadhaar number; however, this may limit your ability to complete certain verification steps or access certain job listings that require verified candidates.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning you without human involvement.

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, provided at the time of registration and when you choose to fill in optional fields (such as disability status or certificate uploads). You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting our Grievance Officer, though this may affect our ability to provide certain features of the Platform to you.

7. How We Share Your Information

7.1 With Employers

RicRoot operates on a brokered model. When you apply to or are matched with a job, relevant profile information (such as skills, experience, education, and your CV) is shared with the employer to enable hiring decisions. We do not directly expose your raw phone number to employers; contact between candidates and employers is facilitated by RicRoot.

7.2 We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

7.3 Service Providers

We may share limited information with trusted service providers who help us operate the Platform (for example, cloud hosting or SMS/email service providers), strictly for the purpose of providing that service, and under confidentiality obligations. As of the date of this Policy, RicRoot does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. If this changes in the future, this Policy will be updated accordingly, and the App's Play Store Data Safety disclosure will be revised to match.

7.4 Legal and Regulatory Disclosure

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RCSL, our users, or the public.

8. Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored on servers located in India. We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active, and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you request deletion of your account (see Section 10), we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including access controls, encrypted password storage, and restricted internal access to sensitive fields such as your Aadhaar number. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We will process verified deletion requests within 14 business days. Certain information may be retained beyond this period where required for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business record-keeping purposes (for example, fraud prevention or dispute resolution), consistent with Section 8 above.

12. Third-Party Services

RicRoot does not currently integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or social media SDKs. Should we introduce such integrations in the future (for example, for analytics or crash reporting), we will update this Policy and our Play Store Data Safety disclosure in advance, and where required, seek your consent.

13. Children's Privacy

RicRoot is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
